SEED because it is: 1. shorter, 2. less comercial, 3. has a bit more plot that
simply mechas and human wars around.
Answering some of you questions (that I think are somewhere above on the
thread), Festums (I think) only want to understand humans, but they are only ONE
entity, so... for them, the humans HAVE to become one with them, they don't
understand the individuality... that's why Akane (kazuki's mother) generate a
identity that start the "confusion"...

wrong... but well, I love this serie and I want to explore it so much too. ^^
Well, I think it depends so much on the person itself. If you are curious it has
nothing to do, but if you are looking for a way of thinking or a personality,
maybe the show influence yourself.

If there will be a second season (that I think is really... difficult ;_;) I
think it will be about Kazuki dealing with the "Soushi's absence", a
really concerned Maya and a lot of "restoring the mankind" thing; a
really sad Kenji (I mean, Sakura is on a permanent comma, not?) and, maybe, a
wedding between Kazuki's father and Maya's mother (that will do Kazuki and Maya
half brothers! )--- The child of the Maya's sister getting grow O_O... (wow, so much
things).
And, of course, if I can do it, I will add something about the festum now trying
to understand the humans without eating them (just like Akane-clone and
Tsubaki)
Now that I think about that, there is a new Island core... right? O_O (my brain
starting to machinate a new idea! ).

Well, i am watching it right now (over ep 8), but, i have read two or three
volumes of the manga ^^U
I like it, and i am hoping that the final get me cry D

well, at first place, the story dont have nothing to do with religion (not like
evangelion). It is not like i am not a believer, just... dont like the idea of
getting full of symbolism...
Anyway, just like epsilon ^^, i like so much the characters. They have ideas,
personality, they are NOT flat... they ARE.
In other hand, the story is too much deep than you can see at first sight. I
mean, in the series Soushi looks like a guy that is cold-hearted... but, then,
you can realize that he is doing that things for something... something that
really touch me a LOT.
The designs are a bit... standar. But they are fine to the anime line, i think
BTW, the opening was the only thing that make me saw this anime (the design was
a bit, but not too much important to me ^^).
And yes, it is right, when you start, you cant stop xD watching it ^^

Anyway, fafner is a mix of so much thing i can say. I have in mind so many
titles that i can easly relate with fafner (just like evangelion, for example)
but the way they managed to do the things is the difference.
Maybe ALL of us keep having doubts, but they did the thing WELL, they have
released so many stuff, not only the anime and the OVA (jewel! *-*). Like the
dramas, the OST dramas and the character image song, for example (i didn't read
the manga, so, i dont know if it explain something o..o).

listen the drama on the OST :P (i only can read a traslation, i dont know
japanese and i am getting serious troubles writting in english ).
Sorry, but i dont understand this: "what's with Soushi's hand as he
advanced towards Kazuki?" ^^U jejeje
4. On the disk there is information of the island and, almost obviously, about
the type-festum that island have knowledge ^^U.
